Cry on the Cross – Jesus didn’t die for nothing’ Easter Theatrical Production!
Vessel of Glory will be hosting an exclusive first of its kind Easter theatrical production themed ‘Cry on the Cross – Jesus didn’t die for Nothing’ slated for the end of April at a venue still to be confirmed.
The show is meant to coincide with the world-wide celebration of Easter. An ensemble of different theatrical expressions, this production tells the story of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, resurrection and life by focusing the benefit, restoration and meaning of life through the act of Salvation. Presented in a theatrical expression, this show demonstrates praise and worship unconfined to singing by infusing other ways of adoring Jehovah.
In true VOG style, the show’s plot is theatrical with a touch of narration/storytelling. Directed by VOG Director Pastor Thethe, the production’s cast will consist of dancers, vocalist and poets backed by a five piece musical band with the trademark VOG jembe. The composition, choreography, script and arrangement of the show is such that it will be divided into three scenes/parts but in this one show as an original VOG production.
Unlike past VOG shows, the ‘Cry on the Cross – Jesus didn’t die for Nothing’ production is open to anyone who has interest in theatrical worship. There will be a series of audition to make sure that anyone who is interested and fits the bill gets a chance to join the cast. Dates, venues and conditions for the auditions will be released.
VOG supports 16 Days of Activism for no Violence against Women!
In collaboration with Ayichakaze Intfombi Young Women Empowerment Organization, Vessel of Glory Creative Arts Organization (the mother body of Vessel of Glory Christian arts ministry) is hosting the 16 Days of Activism for no Violence Against Women arts festival on Friday November 26 at the Mavuso Trade Centre in Manzini, Swaziland as part of the international campaign calling for the elimination of all forms of violence against women. The theme of the day is My Heart – My Weapon. As part of our social responsibility and moral obligation, the VOG team fully supports this campaign which is why we will also be performing on the day. Our people at Vessel of Glory Creative Arts Organization have invited various Swazi based artists who will render other educational and inspiration forms of entertainment alongside our team.
Enigma, the new poetic expression under the VOG stable will also be reciting their Christ-centred inspirational poetry. The VOG team has been hard at work preparing for this occasion. We sincerely pray that Jehovah may help the Swazi nation as we attempt to eradicate social ills like violence against women. We thank Ayichakaze Intfombi Young Women Empowerment Organization for collaborating with us on this project. In everything we give God praise for we know that He is the one who guides what we do. Let us all come out and add our voices in the 16 Days of Activism for no Violence against Women.
Team Update : Dvumisa Acts Concert
Tonkhe Ntshalintshali is a member of VOG. What you are about to read are her recollections, feelings and highlights on the Vessel of Glory ‘Dvumisa Acts’ Concert held on 6th November at the Healing Place Church in Mbabane, Swaziland. Read on…..
First of all we thank those who braved the rains and storm that hit Mbabane on the day and came out to the show. The support we received contributed in making this year’s Dvumisa Acts show a memorable experience to the team and also to me. When the VOG Director Pastor Thethe first announced that VOG would be hosting this concert, he said that this show would usher in a change of some sort. It came as no surprise to me when God instructed that for this concert He expected everyone involved to be sanctified as a worthy vessel (for we all are vessels made to carry His Glory). My personal prayer for the show had been that God would give each and everyone who attended a personal experience that will remain engraved in their hearts.
For the first time in a while, in this show VOG performed with other artists who are not part of the team as we roped in the likes of KrTC, David Mkhonta and G-Life. This show helped us introduce an upcoming artist, a ‘special from the house’ in Mncedisi Dlamini as well as the relaunched VOG poetry expression Enigma. Once again I really salute the ministry that all these artists presented on the day as it proved that it’s possible to have fun and God in the same place at the same time!
The show got off to a crazy start as Pastor Thethe led the house in praise and worship together with Pastor Cebile Mavuso who was also part of the production. We all had a great time as we really ‘got down’ to dancing and singing along to the pastor’s all time hit song ‘Sohlala Simkhondza’ and a couple of other songs. Acoustic guitar in hand, David Mkhonta then took to the stage as he ushered us into a worship atmosphere with the help of his exceptional musicians and band. It was trully an inspired rendition by David. Immediately after him it was time for VOG to perform the first session of the production. It was a really captivating moment for those who have attended past VOG shows as this time there was a twist in the production’s plot. Backing vocals and band in the background, Mncedisi began shouting the praises of Jehovah as the crowd tried to follow. Indeed God was lifted as he declared the mighty works and excellence of Almighty God as the house applauded. Whistles, shouts from the crowd and the sound of the instruments accompanied Him as hit line after line in Siswati!
VOG then kicked off the show with the African praise session song ‘Khulumani’. Jehovah was lifted as we danced and sang his praises on stage. G-Life almost ‘brought the house’ down with their dance sequence as they took over from VOG to conclude the first session of the production. They showcased the future of dance to the excitement of the crowd! As we went for a breather it was time for the crowd to greet and mingle before the second session.
Taking over the stage after the break was KrTC who rendered ‘the gospel according to Hip-Hop’. The crowd received him with an applause after Pastor Thethe (who was also MC of the day) introduced him. It was trully amazing to see the mostly youthful crowd rocking to his music as he hit some rhymes to the glory of God! His performance was followed by VOG’s new poetry expression Enigma (made up of 4 members). It was an inspired rendition of spoken word poetry with the rhymes and sound of the drum in the background as they told the story of salvation through poetry.
VOG then returned to close the show with the second session, one that we call ‘Streams from the Holy Place’. With the sound of the now popular ‘Khulumani’ track played by a 3 piece band, it was time to go home as the team gathered on stage to applaud the crowd for coming out and also to conclude what had been a ‘good-good’ night of praise and worship, this was truly an awesome show! We thank everyone who made it possible!
We look forward to the next show!
Thank you. God bless…..

Update from the Director!
It surely is an honor to write on this platform. Greetings to all our partners and friends. Thank you for your support and I hope it continues. Allow me to give you an update on the progress of the VOG ministry. This ministry has entered into a land of transformation, and this has been the case since the beginning of the year. We’ve had a challenge of adapting to change. Xolie Gcinile Motsa and Gugu Nkalanga went to further their academic pursuit whiles Ntsiki Mkhonta is now employed (so she cannot make it for practices). At the moment we have a constant attendance of five ministers and these are Ndumie, Khosie, Tonkhe, Welile and Emmanuel. This was at first frustrating until God made me aware of the change that He intends to bring into the expression for future productions and ministries. The growth of every ministry begins with change and as you pray to the Lord for direction He guides you towards His intention and purpose. This also updates the message and the expression of His word. In the case of VOG we have maintained most of the old songs but changed the dances to the ability of the present cast. For instance, some of the expressions that were performed by three dancers will be done by one person. This will not in anyway compromise the quality of the expression but will in fact intensify the production. The same applies with the singing. For mass and projection we have been practicing that two voices be able to sing as one to amplify the music. So you can see that a lot of good has come out of this challenge and all these changes have brought a renewed attitude and expectation.
We have also been able to introduce a new expression that we call THE STREAMS EXPRESSION. It has all the elements of our full presentation and will be a chapter in our productions. It has been inspired by the present cast and we’ve been compiling this act from last month. In this production we have a variety of movements that are an interpretation of the worship to God according to the book of Revelations. In this Act we focus our adoration to the God in His throne room. This is where we see the Christ in the beauty of His dominion (heaven). Most of what is said about Him is recorded in the state of His complete Glory. We have written three new songs and a series of four new dances that capture our heart in worship. So in the next production we will have the old programme that involves the ministers who can no more come for practice and this new act, all in one production.
We’ve also started on what we called ‘mass voice poetry’, an expression that was inspired by Ndumie and Enigma. Forgive me for not elaborating on this one because I’d like for you to see it on stage and hopefully be blown away. As you might have noticed, VOG fuses the different expressions into a single presentation. This means that in one presentation we can have a dance, a song, and a poem instead of categorizing the acts according to diversity.
So get ready for the next DVUMISA ACTS concert and I promise you that the waiting won’t be a long one. I hope to keep updating you on our activities and experiences from time to time as the opportunity avails itself.
Have a blessed day and may God be with you.
Pastor Thethe

Vessel of Glory joins Ayichakaze Intfombi for Young Women Empowerment event!
Hey family! Its good to know that our God is still Jehovah over all the earth, He still deserves all of the praises and glory even today! We are so excited to publish the pics from the team’s performance on 9th August 2010 at the Ayichakaze Intfombi young girls empowerment event. The event was held at Tums George Hotel in Manzini, Swaziland. It was really an honor for us to be part of such a landmark initiative by Winile Masangane, a young God fearing woman who has set out to ensure that the Swazi girl child receives all the empowerment she needs in today’s world. The team delivered an inspired ministry on the day because we believe that if our young girls will make a difference in life then God needs to be at the centre of their lives.
So go on see for yourself what it was like at the event as VOG lifted the praises amongst close to 200 young students and women from around the Manzini region. It was a memorable day indeed! After all, its true that pictures don’t lie……….
